Polylactic acid (PLA) is a polyester polymer formed by direct condensation or ring opening polymerization of lactic acid or lactide. The preparation methods of PLA particles include membrane emulsification method, lotion solvent evaporation method, emulsification evaporation method, and foam transfer method. Due to its excellent biocompatibility and mechanical properties, PLA particles can be applied in the biomedical field for drug delivery and bone repair, especially in the field of drug controlled release, showing good sustained release and good control over burst release. The PLA particles produced by Abvigen have good size uniformity, with particle sizes ranging from 250 nm to 100 um. They can also provide various surface modified or fluorescent particle added PLA particles.
