Immunometric assay, also known as sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) is a powerful method for detecting and quantifying specific proteins. ELISA typically requires that the antigen of interest be captured or immobilized on a solid surface and then be complexed with an antibody that is linked to an enzyme. Immunometric assays exhibit a direct correlation between antigen concentration and substrate response. The first is what ELISA format to use¡ªdirect, indirect, or sandwich. Immunometric assays typically employ a "capture¡± antibody coated on the plate to bind the antigen of interest. Direct and indirect ELISA both immobilize the antigen on the assay plate and then use either a labeled primary antibody (direct) or primary antibody and labeled secondary antibody (indirect) to detect the antigen.

Abvigen provides contract ELISA development kit services for the R&D and IVD community. Each Abvigen ELISA Development Kit contains the Capture Antibody, a biotinylated Detection Antibody, a calibrated antigen Standard, the Avidin-HRP conjugate, and a kit-specific protocol. We conduct ELISA kit development services for supporting regulatory approval submission. Each enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay is put through rigorous testing to ensure high precision, accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity.
