Background:
The anticonvulsant mechanism of Carbamazepine is still unclear, which may be related to its ability to increase the inactivation efficiency of sodium channels, limit postsynaptic neurons and block presynaptic Na+ channels, thus limiting the release of action potentials of pre-and post-synaptic neurons, blocking the release of excitatory neurotransmitters, reducing the excitability of nerve cells and achieving anticonvulsant effect. The mechanism of anti-peripheral neuralgia may be related to the regulation of Ca2+ channels.
