General Information
Background:
Immunoglobulin G2a (IgG2a) is a subtype of intermediate immunoglobulin G2 (IgG2). IgG includes four subtypes, of which IgG1 accounts for 60-70%, IgG2 accounts for 15-20%, IgG3 accounts for 5-10%, and IgG4 accounts for 1-7%. Among them, IgG2 can be divided into two subtypes: IgG2a and IgG2b. IgM, IgA, IgE, IgG1a, IgG1b, etc. have a classic heavy light chain composition, but IgG2a, IgG2b, and IgG3 are only heavy chain homodimers without light chains, so they are also called heavy chain antibodies (HeAb); The corresponding heavy chain variable region is called VHH.
